Malopolska festival of travelers already in April in Bochnia!

In just over a dozen days Bochnia will become a weekend arena of travel stories from around the world. On April 22-24 this year. will take place Malopolska Travel Festival 50°N. This is the second edition of the event, which in contrast to the first virtual unveiling, this time will take the traditional form of meetings and lectures.

The name of the festival – 50°N – although it may seem mysterious, it comes from the latitude, which is determined by the parallels. It is the 50th parallel of north latitude that runs m.in. through Malopolska and such cities as Zator, Bochnia, Krakow, Wieliczka and Tarnow. The choice of this year’s location for the event fell on Bochnia – the oldest city in one of the most attractive regions of the country.

It will be an unforgettable weekend!

The 50°N festival will start early in the morning with The Great Geography Lesson , in which students from schools in Bochnia will participate. And the main festival events will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at the Regis Cinema. The program of the event is extremely rich, and the places to which the festival guests will take the audience will allow to move to interesting and at the same time beautiful corners of the globe.

Over the course of three days, you will be able to encounter different topics, cultures, tastes, as well as learn about unconventional ways of looking at and exploring the world. It will be unique and diverse. The speakers will be m.in. Ewa Wachowicz – will talk about conquering the Crown of the Earth’s Volcanoes, Tomasz Gorazdowski – will show New Zealand with emphasis on Lord of the Rings, Marta Załogowska and Maciej Tront – Discover the charms of FolkAround travel, and Adela Tarkowska and Krzysztof Józefowski – will summarize their 10-year bicycle journey around the world. While Eleonora and Andrew Meller will show Afghanistan from the perspective of campervan travel. The stage will also feature Jasiek Mela , youngest and first disabled conqueror of both poles of the Earth, who will prove that “impossible” is just an excuse. The program will also not lack mountain accents. Participants will be able to listen to stories By Piotr Pustelnik , one of the best Himalayan mountaineers, conqueror of the Crown of the Himalayas and Karakorum.

It promises to be a weekend full of travel inspiration.

2. Małopolska Travel Festival 50°N was covered under the honorary patronage of the Marshal of Małopolska Voivodeship – Mr. Witold Kozłowski and the Mayor of Bochnia – Mr. Stefan Kolawiński.

The Main Partner of the 50°N Festival is Malopolska Voivodeship. The Strategic Partner of the Festival is LOTTO, the Gold Partner is ERGO Travel Insurance, and the Organizing Partner is Bochnia.
